If the person my friend got it from accepts the offer I'm going to get started on it soon. Odds are I'll sell it, though.
A man of few words.
Surprisingly, they are fairly level for such an old guitar. I may need to buy a new file since all of mine are for jumbo frets. The frets on this neck are very small. The radius is also something new...

No problem. I'll be out there later today and will get pics.
I don't have pics but can take some if you want them.
Gator, tell mimi the nut width is approx 1.62in. :laugh2:
A friend called me today asking if I want a project to work on. Sure, why not, right?
Come to find out it's an old ass Fender Bronco. I looked it up and the best I can tell is that it was made...
That's what I was thinking, too. I'd love to see the insides of it.
Boss man at worked show me some pics of a similar guitar with rotating pickups./ I looked it up and only found this.
Real, fake, possible? If real, how?

If we think about the logistics of it we can probably keep the costs down. Get a list of us who want to give it a go then going in order of closest distance it probably won't be so bad.
I'd like to give it a go. How heavy is it?
Go small with the truss adjustments. About an 1/8" of a turn at a time. Too much at a time can crack the board. :yikes:
I used Dean Markley when I was younger. Tried Slinky's once. Switched to GHS Boomers. Then Tried D'Addario. Probably some in between I forgot about. I finally concluded For Standard E and Eb tuning I...
4 pages and not one damned sound clip!!
Looks nice! Can't wait to see it up and running.
Some people do like a bit of a bow in their neck. I prefer mine to be straight or slightly back bowed. I like very low action. But when doing fret leveling you do want it straight or you can and...
First thing you should do is get a notched straight edge and make sure the neck is straight. A simple truss rod adjustment can solve buzzing problems sometimes.
Oh and just very helpful tip if any of you guys decide to buy these "erasers". It says on the stewmac site that you don;t have to tape the fretboard off to use them... If you noticed I taped mine off...
That would have been a trip to witness, but good they refunded the money. :laugh2:
Pretty much the same here... I saw Hank in concert in the mid 80's. The guy can play the hell out of a guitar. Very underrated as a serious player.
Indeed, but the whole album is just killer. In fact I may fuck the neighbors up and play it when the Pantera playlist is done. :uhhuh:
One of my ALL TIME favorite non-rock or metal albums ever!! :rockin:
Cool deal. I may just go ahead and order some then.
